This insurance requirement is mandatory for all employees, whether full- or part-time. Companies based out-of-state with employees hired in California must also have California workers' compensation insurance.

State Fund is California's leading workers' compensation insurance provider. Unlike other carriers, State Fund exists solely for the benefit of California employers. Their mandate is to provide workers' compensation coverage at the lowest possible cost.

PNWA / State Fund Group Program: Premium Discount

PNWA has partnered with State Fund to provide a group program for our members. As a PNWA member, you may be eligible to participate in the PNWA/State Fund Group Program 705 and receive a 6% premium discount.

Obtaining State Fund Workers' Compensation Insurance Coverage

Workers' compensation insurance may be purchased directly from State Fund by contacting any of the State Fund Offices or through a broker who has an established business relationship with State Fund. Ask about participating in the PNWA group 705!

Reporting Work-Related Injuries

State Fund's Claims Reporting Center (1.888.222.3211) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for policyholders to report injuries as soon as they occur. Agents will do the necessary paperwork to get the claim started and refer the injured to the designated physician or provider.
